Population 2018

The global population in 2018 is estimated to be 7.6 billion, according to the United Nations Population Division. The two largest countries are China (1.415 billion people) and India (1.354 billion). The next largest countries are the United States (327 million), Indonesia (267), Brazil (211), and Pakistan (201). Of the 28 countries with populations greater than 50 million (shown in the chart to the left of the map), 13 are in Asia, 7 in Africa, 5 in Europe, 2 in Latin America, and 1 in Northern America.
