Designed for GMI’s Missiographics.com, the graphic shows that 84% of adults worldwide are literate, and different countries use different definitions of “literate.”
Oral learning is still the norm, and it is estimated that one-third of the global population cannot read the language that they speak. And, about 80% of the population communicates primarily through oral methods.
